Guangzhou Travel Experience

Last Saturday, I embarked on a family trip to Guangzhou, the city that serves as China’s southern gateway, with the mesmerizing Pearl River flowing through it.

That morning, the weather was splendid, and we decided to explore the city via bike, an environmentally friendly and convenient choice. Our first destination was the zoo, where we anticipated meeting various animals. However, due to the large influx of visitors, we didn't bring a camera. In the afternoon, as the rain began to fall, many of the animals retreated to sleep. Without an umbrella, feeling tired and hungry, we decided to head back home.

On a previous visit to Guangzhou, I had stayed at the five-star Guangzhou Tianhe Hilton Hotel, situated in the heart of the downtown business district. It was merely a stone's throw away from the Guangzhou East Railway Station, making it easy for us to travel to Hong Kong and Shenzhen. A mere 40-minute drive away was the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. Within walking distance, one could reach shopping malls like Dongfang Baotai, Zhongtai International, and CITIC Plaza. The hotel's proximity to Metro Line 3 and Line 1 made it effortless to explore popular shopping and entertainment centers in the city.

The hotel offered 498 spacious guest rooms and suites, equipped with modern amenities. With full-length windows, one could enjoy a panoramic view of the city. The bathrooms were designed with an eye for detail, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. During my leisure time, I loved strolling around the city, admiring its cultural landmarks such as the Canton Tower, Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Opera House, and Yuexiu Park.

What made Guangzhou even more captivating was its bustling city life. With numerous high-rise buildings, this city was home to delicious local cuisine and vibrant parks. The grasslands were verdant, the trees towering, and the flowers blooming beautifully. There was also a vast bookstore where I often went to buy books. Paying at the counter there reminded me of my love for reading and learning!
